Amy Miller Artist Statement

My work explores the layered landscape of both the visible and unseen—an intuitive space where nature, spirit, and symbolism meet.

I began with abstract landscapes and elemental forms—mountains, starry skies, lotus flowers, and shadowy, goddess-like figures—shaped by both the natural world and inner experience.

Over time, collage became my primary language. I gather and layer ephemera—old calendars, drawings, magazines, and fragments of memory—transforming them into new visual narratives. This process led to the creation of my Peace and Magic Oracle Deck, with a second deck currently in progress.

More recently, my work has expanded into assemblage, combining painting, collage, and found objects such as crystals, feathers, sculptural hands, and discarded jewelry. These pieces take on a talismanic quality—like small altars—each offering reflection, beauty, and a sense of meaning.

At its core, my work is an exploration of intuition, the sacred feminine, and the search for connection and purpose. Each piece is created as both a visual experience and a quiet invitation to listen more deeply.
